“The best part of my Thanksgiving is probably that all my family gets together. My parents, they’re divorced, and my dad works for the city so a lot of times on Christmas he’ll have to go plow snow or he’ll have to be at work. But Thanksgiving is one holiday where I know for sure that we’re all going to be there, and that we’re all going to go play football, that we’re all going to cook everything together. And we always cook way too much food. It’s just nice to have everybody together for that.” The best part of my Thanksgiving is probably that all my family gets together. Bryce Hill, sophomore

"You get to see family that you haven't seen for a whole year or a couple months now, and it’s just fun because you get to hang out with your family and do stuff you don’t do normally on a normal day." — Bryce Hill

Tess Brinkerhoff, junior, Abigail Chapdelaine, sophomore, Mia Hale, junior

“I just like eating food a lot," junior Mia Hale said. "That’s what the holiday is about, right?” “No, it’s about friends and family," said junior Tess Brinkerhoff. “But food’s pretty good. The desserts, especially pie," Hale said. "Ooo, and naps after Thanksgiving meal.” “Friends and family are more important," sophomore Abigail Chapdelaine chimed in. "That’s what the holidays are for, gathering of everyone you love.” “But food," Hale said.

Ethan Hayes, sophomore

"Thanksgiving gives us an excuse to make pie because we never make pie in my family unless it’s Thanksgiving. It’s like sac-religious if you make pie outside Thanksgiving in my family. So that and Black Friday, because I love Black Friday, is the best tradition in my family for Thanksgiving." — Sophomore Ethan Hayes

James Glaser, freshman, Anna Xu, freshman

“Being with family is the best part [of Thanksgiving],” said freshman Anna Xu. “Yeah that, also really good food cause that’s good,” freshman James Glaser added. “I eat so much, it’s crazy,” Xu said. “Right! Mostly, for me, it's turkey, mashed potatoes, and gravy,” Glaser said. “The gravy is like what really makes it. And cranberry sauce is the world’s greatest thing.” “But the dessert is the best part. Pumpkin pie, you have to have pumpkin pie,” Xu said. “I agree with you there. For a second I thought you were going to say pecan pie, I was going to be like, um no. Pecan pie’s good but not pumpkin pie good,” Glaser said. “When I was younger I used to not eat the pumpkin pie part, I’d just eat the crust part. But now I eat both of it, because it’s really good and I realize that.”
