Framing is a way to isolate a subject or produce an emotion. Here are some examples of frame within a frame.
The sunset peaks through the small branches of a pine tree. You can only see a black silhouette instead of the green pine which really draws your eyes to the orange color of the sky. There is also a lot of negative space throughout the photo. I like the simplicity in the curved branches. The strings from the tent create streaks that lead your eye in and around the frame to the subject. I used a red tent to create an old fashioned look and the accessories and camera added to the scene of the photo. As you see her stand with a serious expression from inside the gate your attention also goes to the vibrant color of the photo. This is a photo I would typically put in black and white but I fell in love with the contrast of the makeup and the rusty gate. Where a tree goes its separate ways Evan manages to wedge himself in and create a seat. His expression shows how a child only sees the good and exciting parts of life. Always looking up and ready for an adventure.
