After several meetings to discuss changes in how the student council (StuCo) will be run, StuCo officers finally received word of admin’s approval on Dec. 9. Student Council (StuCo) will hand out free hot chocolate in North and Main commons after school today, Jan. 10. StuCo holds the event, Hot Chocolooza, to celebrate the first week of second semester. This will be the seventh year that Hot Chocolooza has occurred, club sponsor Kelley Wittenborn said. StuCo puts on two other events like this throughout the year, Wittenborn said, to give back to students and make their time at school enjoyable.

StuCo organizes Cards for Veterans

Student council (StuCo) hosted Cards for Veterans on Friday Nov. 22 before school and during both lunch periods. This was the third day of the StuCo-hosted kindness week.
Junior Jillian Larkin narrowly dodges a freshman trying to pull her flag. Escaping the close call, Larkin made it all the way to the 10 yard line before losing her flag. The junior PowderPuff team won this game, but  ultimately lost to the seniors.
