Following his successful “Stick Seasons” album and tour, Noah Kahan has announced his 2024 “We’ll All Be Here Forever” tour Sept. 20.

The indie folk artist will be taking his tour to 39 locations across North America from Mar. 26 to on July 19. The tour locations include cities like Nashville, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York and closer to home stops in KC and STL on June 5 and 6. The show originally had 32 stops until popular demand brought it back for a second night in seven locations.

In his Instagram announcement post for the “We’ll All Be Here Forever” tour, Kahan expressed gratitude for the opportunity to play more shows.

“This exceeds even my wildest childhood dreams, but you [fans] have made them all possible,” Kahan wrote. “I can’t believe it.”

Journey into Stick Season

This tour announcement follows the major success of Kahan’s re-release of his most popular album, “Stick Seasons,” which catapulted Kahan into the spotlight. His other two albums, “Busyhead” and “I Was/I am,” both earned him a dedicated fanbase with hits like “False Confidence” and “Someone Like You.” Kahan also released two EPs, “Hurt Somebody” and “Cape Elizabeth,” which were both received with moderate success. But “Stick Season” was the album that made Kahan a star. The album went gold, sold upwards of 500,000 copies and has 700 million combined streams, while the title song, “Stick Season,” went platinum and has played over 200 million streams on Spotify.

Stick Season (We’ll All Be Here Forever) adds seven songs to the original album, including new fan favorites like “You’re Gonna Go Far” and an extended version of “The View Between Villages.”  This album was met with great success, garnering a near billion streams on its own. Between the two “Stick Season” albums, Kahan has earned himself a steady fanbase with over 1.5 billion streams. On top of these releases, Kahan has also put out single versions of two of his new songs, “Dial Drunk” and “Call Your Mom,” in collaboration with popular artists Post Malone and Lizzy McApline.

Kahan announced advanced registration for the presale Sept. 20, aiming to improve the accessibility of the tour by reducing marked up prices and the resale of tickets. The tour will be making two stops in Missouri, the Hollywood Casino Amphitheater in St. Louis, which is already sold out, and the Azura Amphitheater in Kansas City, giving RBHS students a chance to snag tickets to the tour.

Senior Peyton Gillis said that she managed to get on the presale list and get lawn seats for her and her friends to the Kansas City show June 5.

I am a huge Noah Kahan fan, [and] I’ve been listening to him since 2020 when his album, ‘Cape Elizabeth,’ came out. I’ve seen him live once at Red Rocks, and it was one of the coolest experiences of my life. I wanted to see him perform again because he connects so well with the audience and just puts on a great show.”

Senior Allie Wood is also attending the Kansas City show after being introduced to his music.

“[I’ve] only [been a fan] for about a year, ” Wood said. “Peyton [Gillis] actually introduced me to him. I’m so excited because I get to go with my best friend.”

An Instagram poll of RBHS students showed that 19% of those who saw the Bearing News post got tickets, while 3% were waitlisted in the presale. The presale ended on Sept. 29 and ticket sales opened to the public where they have sold well. In less than a week, 26 of the 40 shows have completely sold out, while new shows continue to be announced as demand for tickets continues.

“My brain refuses to let me process this, I can’t fuckin believe it!” Kahan wrote in an Instagram post announcing a third Toronto show following the two other Toronto shows selling out. “I will spend the rest of my life saying thank you.”
