Alexis Bumby, escorted by senior Will Echelmeier
How did you ask your escort to homecoming?
I told him that I had to ask him a really important question and then I just asked him and he said he’d escort me.
What were your immediate thoughts after hearing your name in the nominations?
I didn’t directly hear the announcements but when I found out I was really surprised and grateful. I wasn’t expecting it at all and I didn’t vote for myself or anything.
What homecoming activity do you look forward to most?
I’m really excited for the lunch activities because theyre normally really fun.
What school activities do you participate in?
I participate in NHS, Tri Theta, Young Republicans, Deca, Spanish Honors Society, RBRO, Bruins United and girls soccer.
How do you think you would exemplify a homecoming queen if you won?
I don’t think I’d act any differently if I won but I think that whoever wins should be a genuinely nice person who cares about others. I think it should be someone who represents Rock Bridge and the school.
How have you made the school a better place?
I always try to be nice to everyone and reach out to people who aren’t as outgoing and do something to make peoples day. I try to be really involved in clubs and activities that help other people and the community.
What are your dreams and aspirations?
I want to be a psychologist because I want to help other people and I’m not sure where I want to go to college, but I want it to be a bigger school.
What is your most embarrassing high school memory?
My most embarrassing moment is inappropriate but it happened during soccer so I’ll leave it at that.
