Bullying is a rampant crime in high school. Almost no one gets out unscathed.
I asked a few brave souls to revisit a time when they were bullied, to write the words said to them, and to let me write those words on their faces in permanent marker. I wanted to show how words leave a lasting impact. They don’t leave overnight. They stay, permanently etched into our faces.

WARNING: Long rant
Bullying is only getting more attention because of the social network we have incorparated into our lives. Now, more than ever, bullying leaves more of a larger impact because a bully’s friend might join them on their assault via FaceBook or Twitter. Then one of their friends might join, and then one of their friends and so on and so on. If we are to stop bullying, then we should start with cyberbullying, despite the fact that it’s near to if not impossible. It’s hard to shrug the words away, or cover the bruises, or hide from the oppressor, that is of no doubt, but just by funding an organization isn’t going to do jack; they aren’t the law and they don’t rule the Internet. If a bully is to be stopped, a restraining order is a good idea, where none of the bully’s friends can talk, go near, or do ANYTHING that involves with the bullied person (less chances of that than getting the country to stop arguing). But that’s what I believe, not you (the reader). Nevertheless, bullying has only gotten worse and will continue to do so if we keep advancing in the cyber world.
