At the plate, Josh Marsh gets ready to hit a ball. This year, Marsh has worked hard in perfecting his swing and has hit high in the batting order the entire year. “You're going to experience some challenges in high school, whether it be academically or athletically, but just pushing yourself to do the best that you can instead of backing down or giving up is really important,”Marsh said. “Overall it is important that you stay persistent.”

Time management is the only challenge that I have during braids because they have to be perfect to me, I have to make sure my braids and my parts are perfect. I don't like any mess ups because I wouldn't want nobody to mess up on me, so really just time management.”

It represents the hard part of going on her own post high school and figuring out what a real adult means. She is surrounded by the things that represented her all in high school and some will even follow her post high school. “This is so exciting, oh my gosh, I get to be independent, this is so much fun, and then at the end of the day, I'm kind of like, this is scary because on your own."

Tennis returns to final four

A long, dark green banner hangs in a corridor at RBHS, with the words ‘Final Four’ inscribed in gold across the top. Right below is a list of nearly annual dates ranging from 1998 to 2013, for staggering total of 14 final four appearances in the last 15 years. Nearby is a single glass case with plaques and trophies claiming every inch of surface area.Therein lies the legacy of the RBHS girl’s tennis program; unassuming reminders that the Bruins have established themselves as powerhouses in the world of high school tennis.
