Boys’ soccer victorious in district semifinal match against Hickman

With a record of 20-4 heading into the district semifinal match Nov. 5, the boys’ soccer team exuded confidence. After winning eight of their last 10 regular season games, the Bruins delivered in the class 4 district 9 semifinal match and came out the victors against local rival Hickman High School (HHS) with a score of 1-0. The Bruins gained their third win against HHS, having already won the teams’ two regular season meetings. The Bruins will play against Jefferson City High School (JCHS) 6 p.m. Nov. 7 at Battle High School for the district championship.

Varsity soccer team wins against Battle Spartans

In contrast to cold temperatures setting a chilly tone throughout RBHS, the boys’ varsity soccer team brightened up their fans as they beat the Battle Spartans 3-0 at Battle High School Oct. 15, raising the Bruins’ win loss total to 17-3.

There has been a steady rise in the amount of students tearing their ACL due to high school athletics. Student athletes can utilize season preparedness techniques in order to stay fit throughout their seasons and lower their risk of injury.
