At the plate, Josh Marsh gets ready to hit a ball. This year, Marsh has worked hard in perfecting his swing and has hit high in the batting order the entire year. “You're going to experience some challenges in high school, whether it be academically or athletically, but just pushing yourself to do the best that you can instead of backing down or giving up is really important,”Marsh said. “Overall it is important that you stay persistent.”

Time management is the only challenge that I have during braids because they have to be perfect to me, I have to make sure my braids and my parts are perfect. I don't like any mess ups because I wouldn't want nobody to mess up on me, so really just time management.”

It represents the hard part of going on her own post high school and figuring out what a real adult means. She is surrounded by the things that represented her all in high school and some will even follow her post high school. “This is so exciting, oh my gosh, I get to be independent, this is so much fun, and then at the end of the day, I'm kind of like, this is scary because on your own."

Six students will participate in annual Missouri Scholars Academy

The campus of the University of Missouri will be filled with 330 high-achieving rising juniors from around Missouri for the the annual Missouri Scholars Academy (MSA) Sunday, June 9 to Saturday, June 29. Several RBHS students including Piper Forthaus, Shruti Gautam, Arren Mallott, Garrett Roach, James Rollison and Kellen Sapp, were selected for the 2019 cohort.
