The questioning shifts to the aid, with a GOP member asking; “Did Ukraine receive the Javelins?” Taylor responds saying “That is correct.” Here the question refers to a type of military weapon that was part of the aid that was testified to have been received by Ukraine.
“The first investigation [into Ukraine] was under the Obama administration, is that correct?” “That’s correct,” Taylor replies. Taylor testifies, “If we are talking about political influence to get info solely useful to campaigns, we should not be doing it”. Kent testifies that he had no knowledge of any cooperation between the Department of Justice and Ukraine regarding corruption. Taylor finishes with “I am here to tell you what I know, what I’ve heard and what I’ve said.”
