After a five minute break, the hearing resumes with Rep-CA Devin Nunes questioning of Taylor. He starts with his opening remarks attacking the Democrat run inquiry calling it “A media smear campaign.” He goes on to say there is “no factual basis” for the inquiry.
There is also a moment where Adam Schiff appears to waste some time after stopping the questioning clock to review a objection to Nunes’ question. The questioning switches to Steve Castor — Chief GOP investigative counsel where he moves to question second witness George Kent. He takes an aggressive move toward Kent, getting him to agree that the back channel for foreign policy (Talking about the presidents lawyer Rudy Giuliani, was not “As outlandish as it could be.”
