This past Thursday, the Columbia Art League downtown opened up a new exhibit of artwork that will be on display for the next month. The theme was “Beauty in the Eye of the Beholder”, and artists from around the city submitted their work to have the privilege to be on display and possibly even have their work bought.
Thirteen RBHS art students had the honor of having their work mixed in with artists from both the college and professional levels. The work of three students were picked from the show and awarded. Samantha Ding and Sarah Poor both received Emerging Artist awards, and Ipsa Chaudhary received the honor of honorable mention overall for her piece.
With amazing artists in our school, I wanted to get the artist with their pieces, but I was only able to find eight of the 13 to snag a quick picture. Below are six of the amazing artists, and Ding’s and Poor’s artwork can be found under the A&E section.
