The Show Choir’s premier concert is tonight, and needless to say, I’m super excited. It’s the moment everyone involved has been waiting for since the beginning of the year, and it’s here at last. Months of rehearsal, both choreography and vocal work, and now this show. And it IS a show!
Satin n Lace, the all-girls choir, closes out their show in sparkling gold.
And I really enjoy Spencer’s solo in their closing number!
But of course, me being me, I wanted to hang out behind the scenes. I love what happens to make it all happen.
The things like the pre-show makeup, a show choir necessity.
And the racks and racks of costumes, waiting to be hastily changed into.
There’s Mr. Mike Pierson who, instead of taking his usual place at the head of the choir, leads the band.
And there’s the techies who make everything happen not only behind the scenes, but below, beside and beneath them, too.
So whether you’re watching a practice from a light’s eye view…
…or watching a performance from the best seats in the house, this show is quite spectacular!

Asa, you should definitely call this blog “As I Wander the Halls…oh, and Unattractive Pictures of Lauren. That too.” ;P
Nah, really, these are great, as always! I love the beginning one of Annie with her fabulous jazz hand. 😉 Very nice job of capturing every aspect of show choir!
