Out of the 15 contestants from RBHS, junior Charles Shang was the only one to medal, with a third place award in “Towers.”
This year, senior Methma Udawatta competed in “Astronomy,” “Forensics” and “Write It, Do It.” Although it takes a lot of effort to get to the state level and perform well, Udawatta believes the time spent is well worth it.
“It seems like just work, but it’s actually a lot of fun,” Udawatta said. “You get to learn about things you wouldn’t ordinarily learn in school or science classes.”
