Matt Kelly, escorted by senior Samantha Rose Kanago
How did you ask your escort to Courtwarming?
I asked Samantha to be my escort by having five of my sophomores report to her and serenade her through poetic fusion.
What were your immediate thoughts after hearing your name in the nominations?
The first thing that came to mind was the question, “What color does Samantha Rose look the best in?”
What Courtwarming activity do you look forward to most?
I’m looking forward to the dress up days the most, specifically work out day.
What school activities do you participate in? What accomplishments have you had in these activities?
Soccer, bowling, Student Council, [National Honors Society], Bru Crew, [Fellowship of Christian Athletes], girls basketball manager, personal finance challenge.
I’m the senior class president. I was blessed to be named an All-American in soccer this year along with playing in two back-to-back final fours as a team.
How do you think you would exemplify a Courtwarming king if you won?
I would exemplify a Court warming king by leading by example and living a faithful and Christ-like lifestyle.
How have you made the school a better place?
I’ve hopefully made Rock Bridge a better place by impacting some individuals’ lives and expressing a life emphasizing values and morals.
What are your dreams and aspirations?
I’ll hopefully be kicking field goals for Baylor University next year.
What is your most embarrassing high school memory?
When I expressed my care to a sophomore Bruin Girl who I have still yet to meet by stroking her casted arm.
What is your favorite RBHS moment so far?
Having three classes with my rather attractive escort senior year.
