Girls’ basketball defeats JCHS to secure district title

The girls' basketball team defeated Jefferson City High School 54-35 to win the Class 5 District 9 championship title and will play in sectionals March 11.

Girls’ basketball district run starts with win over Hickman High School

The girls' basketball team defeated Hickman High School 63-19 in its first district game. The Bruins will play the Jefferson City High School Jays March 6.

Final regular season game, team celebrates seniors

Friday, Feb. 28 the girls' basketball team took on the Helias (HHS) Crusaders. The team celebrated its four senior athletes and a senior manager.

Girls’ basketball wins regular season game against Ozark High School

As the warm-up buzzer approached double zeroes, basketballs found solace in a container, and girls from the two teams gathered on opposite sides of the green and gold court to shake out their final nerves. The Lady Bruins stood with the whole arena to honor the national anthem, each of them drumming the rhythm of the familiar beat on the shoulder of their teammate in front of them. Then, their beloved head girls’ basketball coach Jill Nagel rallied the team one last time and watched as tip-off commenced the Jan. 9 game against Ozark High School.

Lady Bruins win basketball district championship over Belton

The Bruins went on to win (45-30) over Belton High School in the district championship.
Junior Sanaa' St. Andre, while new to RBHS, has given the Bruins a new look while bringing both speed and a defensive edge to the team. St. Andre was able to help hold the Kewpies to minimal fast breaks, helping lead RBHS to the victory.
