Student inflicted vandalism leads to bathroom closures and supervision

Students vandalized several bathrooms in RBHS following a trend from the social media app TikTok that’s sweeping the nation, promoting vandalism and theft, resulting in the closing of multiple restrooms. The shutdown has limited bathroom options for all students and increased the workload of the custodial staff since the beginning of September.

Various RBHS clubs reinstated the Black Lives Matter flag in the activities office hallway Friday, Sept. 10. Senior Mikayla Nelson, leader of Student Equity Coalition, along with seniors Ariah Stevenson, Kelsea Myers,  sophomore Art Club President Olivia Rollison and senior president of Young Democrats Charlotte Ries lifted the flag back up to its former spot.

Bruins football beats Smith-Cotton in one-sided game

In the first home game of the 2021 football season, the Bruins handed Smith-Cotton High School (SCHS) a 50-0 loss, demonstrating home field advantage. Coming off a tough loss to Staley High School (SHS) on Friday Aug. 27, the Bruins delivered a game full of both offensive and defensive plays in front of a roaring crowd, ending in a win for RBHS.
