Art flourishes through innovative mediums

The fast-paced, evolving technology of the modern century has changed the process and application of various disciplines — everything from journalism to engineering. Students and educators in various fields share their thoughts on mixing and using unique mediums in the ever evolving worlds of art and design.
Getting connected: Students enrolled in the Professions in Healthcare course at the Columbia Area Career Center attend clinicals at Lenoir Woods, a local senior center. Those enrolled in the class learn the skills needed to take care of a variety of possible cases they may be presented in the profession.

The Skills USA state competition was recently held in Linn, Missouri at State Technical College. With a variety of different events, students who placed had the opportunity to qualify for Nationals, which will be in Louisville Kentucky in late June.

While some pupils study calculus and world history, others are becoming chefs. The CACC culinary classes create a highly competitive, and successful group of future restaurateurs.
The social event is open to everyone and no ticket is required. Attendees come for the food, the music, and the social opportunities.
