Family and Consumer Science teacher Melisa Kurzejeski collaborates with Appletree Quilting Center to provide quilted blankets to children in foster care. Senior Caroline Cole and sophomore Emma Haupt used the time between their in-class projects to work on such blankets, and Kurzejeski enlisted the help of fellow RBHS teachers as a way to complete the 50 blankets she took from Apletree Quilting to make. For students who are interested in volunteering with the project and who have prior sewing experience, Kurzejeski said they could contact her via email: [email protected].
