The RBHS softball team competed against St. Francis Borgia Sept. 12. The Bruins finished the game 8-5.
The team got off to a very strong start, with senior Madison White hitting a home run at the bottom of the first inning with the bases loaded. The energy in the stadium was electric. The team celebrated the home run with a quick huddle.
The bruins played solid defense. This successful defense is owed in part by junior pitcher Maren Jones. Jones pitched the whole game except the last two pitches, where junior Ella Schouten took over.
The varsity team is 5-2-0 this season.[vc_gallery interval=”3″ images=”316672,316671,316670,316669,316668″]
