Meet the staff: Thanksgiving leftovers

Maddie Magruder

After the stomachs are expanded more than is probably healthy and the fridge is stuffed to the brim with leftovers, the possibilities of what to do with the food for the next few days are endless. From classic turkey sandwiches to specialty desserts, everyone can find something to their liking. As for me, I look forward to the turkey pot pie from the leftover turkey, perhaps even more than the Thanksgiving meal itself.
“Turkey sandwiches. It’s a classic. You got your three major food groups: bread, pickles, and turkey. cheese maybe, mustard suggested.”

Adam Schoelz, senior

“It’s always fun to mess around with dessert leftovers. Like sugar cookies topped with Carmelita crumble. But yeah, what Adam said. Turkey sandwiches.”

Lauren Puckett, senior

“We give them to our dog, happy Thanksgiving to him.”

Hagar Gov-Ari, junior

“Pumpkin and apple pie will be my breakfast for the next week, but that’s not weird. That’s normal.”

Asa Lory, senior
