Nicole Reilly, retired stockbroker and resident of TigerPlace, grew up in Belgium. After the Germans invaded Belgium during World War II, her family was forced to go into hiding because her father was American.
She reflects on her experiences during and after the war, her marriage and American politics. Riley emphasizes the privileges and freedoms people often take for granted and reminds everyone to be vigilant with civic duties.
