Earlier this year, a group of students got together and pursued a passion of theirs. They had been interested in knitting and crocheting all their life so they decided to make a club called Knit Knack. Upon having it approved by student council, two members, senior Clara Brand and senior Marilise Stamps, took charge and made the club happen.
Knit Knack has met a few times. At the meetings, they have lessons on how to knit and crochet so they can make baby hats and blankets and donate them to Boone Hospital.
“I wanted to start knit knacks because I thought it would be a cool opportunity to give to the hospitals,” founder senior Maralise Stamps said. “While bringing people together to learn/expand on something that can be useful for lots of different reasons.”
