Over the past weekend, downtown Columbia came alive as independent women film-makers from around the world gathered to see their works projected onto the big screens of the Citizen Jane Film Festival. An atmosphere of collaboration and discussion was unique to the festival, as contemporary film makers and invested audiences engaged in discussion over the often controversial or taboo topics of the independent films and shorts. Even members of the RBHS community participated, attending the documentary screenings or volunteering wherever help was needed.
