New apps come out daily; sometimes it almost seems by the hour. There are so many to choose from, but here are a few that shouldn’t escape your attention this week.

SNL
Although I am not an avid Saturday Night Live viewer, I do enjoy an occasional sketch here and there. This is why the SNL app is perfect for me. You can search by a season or even by the individual cast members and through that, you can watch episodes or clips. Everything is so quick and right there at the touch of your fingertips. Instead of having to go search YouTube or nbc.com, I am able to get on an app and find exactly what I want. If I only use this app once a month, it is still worth it to me to not have to search the vast internet for the correct clip or episode. SNL has definitely gained views from me, and I am sure this app is intriguing many others, so if you have room on your phone or tablet, I’d recommend this app fully.
Available on the App Store.

Drop 7
As usual, I was on the search for a new game to spark my interest and I came across Drop 7. The game is played on a 7×7 grid and is played in levels. Basically, there are blank discs and colored discs with numbers one through seven on them. The goal is to match the number on a disc to the amount of discs in that row to make discs disappear. In order to do this, you are dropping a random disk down on to the board, hoping to get rid of as many discs as you can. A normal numbered disc disappears immediately, but a blank disk takes two hits to turn into a numbered disc which then can be matched up to disappear. Even though it doesn’t sound very hard, it takes a few rounds to get the hang of the game because it can get confusing or complicated. It’s definitely a fun time waste and I can’t see myself deleting it off of my phone anytime soon.
Available on the App Store and Google Play Store.

Ustream
Last week, I was trying to figure out how I could live stream a school assembly for Bearing News via Ustream and when I came across their app, it saved so much time that could have been wasted. In just one touch, we were able to go live instantly. Throughout, we were also able to see how many people were viewing and at the end, we could save the entire live stream for people to watch later. This is of course an app that isn’t essential for everyone, and I wouldn’t recommend to most, but if you are a live streamer or if you like watching live streams on Ustream, this app is very easily navigational and helpful.
Available on the App Store and Google Play Store.
