Many people never see the grounds of Rock Bridge under the canvas of night or through the glass of a lens. The lights around campus turn from commonplace lawn features to eye-catching patterns still recognizable, but different. With elegant angles and a burnt out bulb every once in a while, the character of the halls of Rock Bridge hold true to the fields, sidewalks and parking lots, through the hours of daylight and into the void of night.

Look down, see a planted telephone pole. Look up, see a splash of light as your pupil tries to decide whether it’s looking into darkness or light.

You are told never to look directly at the sun, but you’re never told to not look at street lights and for good reason, too.

Off in the distance, a rim-shot can be heard as the RBHS Drumline practices on the football field in the cool of the evening, only one of the many school activities after hours.
