Last night, the boys basketball beat Warrensburg in the semi-finals of the Smith-Cotton, 56-49. Rock Bridge will advance to the finals to play Moberly, who beat Warrensburg last night.
“We played tough and played till the end of the game,” senior Arris Pardalos said.
No big plays were made, besides making free throws in crunch time, and no one fouled out.
“We’re focusing on winning this tournament like we did last year,” junior Chris Williams said. “Most specifically, we want to come out with some emotion and get ahead early in the game.”
The Bruin boys’ basketball record stands at 9-2 as of last night.
“I feel like I need to work on rebounding and passing,” Williams said.
He is a 6’3″ forward, making rebounding a key component in his game. All but one of RBHS’ players is over 6 foot, and 5 are 6’3″ or taller.
The boys will play today against Moberly in order to win the tournament.
“Better help [on] defense and execute better on offense,” Pardalos said, regarding what the team needs to work on.
