“The University of Kansas saw things in me that I didn’t see in me,” Kayla Cheadle said. “For that I’m truly thankful.”
The girls’ basketball coach, Jill Nagel introduced introduced beach player. Nagel, who provided insight into each of the athlete’s careers, wished them luck in their future endeavors. Each player then went to the podium and gave a short speech before being joined by their parents and signing their letters of intent.
“It’s a great day,” Holt said. “It’s a day I’m glad is finally here.”
The ceremony is the second of four signing ceremonies that will take place at RBHS over the next seven days. Yesterday, six members of the Bruin volleyball and softball teams signed with their colleges, and next week wrestlers Sam Crane and Quinn Smith will sign. Even later next week, members of the swimming and diving team will make their commitments official as well.
