UPDATE: Kelly Sports Properties will not allow Bearing News to broadcast tonight’s football game. We apologize for the inconvenience.
UPDATE: We at Bearing News realize that confusion occurred due to the lack of a video broadcast. Our intention was to broadcast a live stream of the game with the audio over it. However, our videographer fell ill Friday, making the video component unavailable. We apologize for the miscommunication. Our broadcast next Friday of the Bruins’ home opener will include video barring any unforeseen difficulties.
Due to transportation delays, the live broadcast may begin as late as 7:45 p.m.
Following a successful broadcast of the Bruins district baseball game last spring, the Bearing News sports team is excited for the return of Bruin athletics to the web. This Friday, Maribeth Eiken and Brett Stover will have the call as the RBHS Bruin Football Team travels to St. Louis to take on the Desmet Jesuits in the season opener. If you are unable to travel to DJHS for the game, tune into www.bearingnews.org at 7:20 p.m.* for the kickoff of the 2013 MSHSAA football season. We hope for this to be the first of many sports video broadcast throughout the year and we hope for you to join us for the game.

Can’t believe Kelly cut you guys off, heard about what they said in PTA.. That’s just nuts. When did high school sports (and getting their high school fans info about them) become about money? Hrrmmmff.

Sucks that you guys aren’t allowed to do video. Hopefully that works out in the future as I’m sure it would be a popular feature. John Gillis is a rock star.

Thought the announcers did a great job considering this was their first time broadcasting. It can only get better from here. Positive and constructive, repeat, POSITIVE AND CONSTRUCTIVE feed back will help the process in the future.

It would be nice if you named Or gave numbers of the defensive playthat are tackling different players on the DeSmet and for other teams we play.

This is terribly misleading. Video broadcasts should have video not just two incompetent announcers talking. I’d have a better idea of what was going on in the game if I sat in a bathtub filled with mayonnaise and imagined it instead of listening to this trash. I think I speak for everyone when I say WE WANT VIDEO.
