An important part of being a member of a Boy Scout troop is participating in community service events and service projects to help the people around you. A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to volunteer at the Personal Energy Transportation project division in Columbia, Mo. The group is a great organization that builds cart vehicles that are then shipped off to third-world countries and given to people in need.
These are some photos of our troop spending time at the warehouse working for PET. The job we did was packaging up nuts and bolts and other spare parts for maintenance on the vehicles, as each cart is built in the United States, then disassembled for shipping to be put back together at the site of need.
