Students auditioned for the 2013 Capers show earlier this week, and after careful screening, judges have finally chosen the acts that will perform in the show. The following acts will now have a month to tie up any loose ends before Capers opens April 18 at 7 p.m. in the PAC.
Performers should double check their calendar to make sure they are able to attend, Assistant Band Director and judge Bob Thalhuber said. All dress rehearsals, April 15, 16, & 17 from 6:30 p.m. -9:30 p.m., are mandatory. If an act is unable to attend the performance or any of the rehearsals, it may be removed from Capers. Anyone who would like to MC should see Thalhuber in 402 by next Tuesday, March 19.
“We’re looking for variety. because it’s a variety show. We’re looking for as much variety as we can,” Thalhuber said. “The judging process is basically two people – me and…the student teacher this year [because] we try to change up the second person every year to help with the variety. Then we submit our recommendation to the head band director and he clears it and then we publish it.”
