The snow and resulting snow-days this past week offered an excellent opportunity to explore through my camera lens. My subject was beautifully lit, yet a world blanketed in white doesn’t offer the most vibrant or colorful picture. On the contrary, the monochromatic nature of a snow day lends itself quite nicely to a study of shadow and contrast. Not distracted by color and excess noise, our eyes are free to explore simple geometry and plays of light. Who knew there could be so much going on in a white world?
