Today Columbia Public Schools proposed three boundary options for each the 2013-2014 school year. The options apply to both the intermediate and high schools.
The 22 board members took into consideration cohorts, demographic, enrollment, major/minor roads, population change, school proximity, subdivisions, transitions, travel distance/time and walk-to-school transport into consideration when coming with the scenarios. They started out by designing 125 scenarious, and now CPS plans on narrowing down to two proposals by the end of November.
Discussion forums will be held at each school to get public opinions on each possible boundary line map. The forum for RBHS will be held Nov. 3 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the media center.
Comments can also be left on the website where the proposals are located.
