The first end of the year senior event occured April 5 at 10:15 a.m. with a senior class meeting.
At the gathering, administrators went over the senior schedule, including events such as senior finals, baccalaureate and senior gradation dates, said Assistant Principal David Bones.
They had planned to take the senior class photo with the school’s photographer; however, he was ill and a journalism student, senior Muhammad Al-Rawi, had to step in for the the portrait. Additionally, Jostens passed out items students ordered earlier except for their caps and gowns.
Students also received information concerning the end of the year schedule. Senior finals will take place the week of May 11 -16. Seniors 1A and 2A finals will be on May 11, their 3B and 4B finals on May 14, their 3A and 4A on May 15, and their 1B and 2B finals on May 16. After the last final, the senior class meets at 11:15 a.m. May 16; students will receive their caps and gowns.
The second senior class meeting “is when you get the whole scoop on graduation,” Bones said. “You’ll leave here around 12:30 or so and that’s it. That is it. It’s an exciting week.”
