On their way to a homecoming victory, the Bruins pulled past Francis Howell during the third quarter Friday night. After trailing the Vikings 7-6 at halftime, Rock Bridge used the second half to secure a 20-10 win.
After the victory, the Bruins advanced to 11th in state football rankings and to no. six in Division 6 rankings, according to Freeman football rankings.
The 5-2 Bruins travel to William Jewel College near Kansas City Friday, Oct. 14 to take on Liberty High School. The Blue Jays are coming off of a 35-0 loss to the Central Indians. Their state ranking fell eight points to 52nd in Missouri. Liberty’s Division 6 rank is 16th.
